Confusion seems widespread!
Can we, can’t we, when, where, mask wearing, social distancing, and all left up to the individual.
No one is completely sure. Even when to self-isolate if ‘pinged’. Some airlines still insist on masks whilst others don’t, some restaurants do, others don’t.
No wonder so many feel helpless and confused; worried about the consequences and effects of our decisions, not only on ourselves but on others as well.
If you are struggling with all of this, you are not alone. Many things happen in our daily lives that can be confusing. We all need direction. I am comforted in that I know that God has a plan. A good plan. Even when we are confused and overwhelmed. But, how do we follow His plan and know the right direction for our lives? As a Christian I know (even if I don’t always feel it) that the Holy Spirit is able to guide us and keep our minds at ease.
The problem is, that we so often just see the here and now, therefore miss the big picture, hence fail to see the impact our choices will ultimately have on our lives.
It’s amazing how frequently I come back to one of my favourite Bible passages, which I have engraved on a glass paperweight.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
